This is the credo at Haven Mountain Retreat in St. Johann im Pongau (Austria). The innovatively designed, deep black facade made of carbonised larch wood underlines this effect and blends elegantly into the alpine mountain landscape.
A striking architectural feature of this project are the four-sided carbonised slats, which were used as fascinating design elements in front of the windows and balconies, where they can be seen from all sides.
In addition, refined larch wood in the grey variant was used for the underside of the roof, some of which extends into the interior. The combination of the silver-grey finished and the black charred larch creates exciting contrasts and makes the aparthotel a stylish eye-catcher in the region.
