Sustainable craftsmanship: our traditional deep-charring process with Yakisugi

Careful craftsmanship

Our FSC and PEFC-certified woods are carefully selected by hand, checked for quality and carefully planed and processed before being subjected to the traditional, vertical deep-charring process with pure flame – without fossil fuels or chemicals!

Firing process

Our manual, deep-charring process creates a thick layer of charcoal that protects the carbonised wood from external influences and also creates a three-dimensional effect. We then gently seal the wood surface – this ensures even better durability and a glossy surface finish.
