Fraké Nature

Fraké Nature

Resistance and dimensional stability

Our Thermo Fraké Nature is the perfect compromise between aesthetics and function. Heated in an environmentally friendly way, the wood acquires a very stable quality during the heating process.

This removes moisture from the material and makes it lighter in weight. Fraké Nature is therefore particularly suitable for all types of panelling or chic interiors.

Natural hardwood with a long lifespan

Fraké Nature: the versatile range of indoor and outdoor applications

Fraké is a yellow-brown to brown hardwood from West Africa, which is one of the fastest-growing in the world and comes from fairly managed forests. The thermo-modified version gives the hardwood additional positive properties.

On the one hand, it becomes more stable and lighter, while the heat process also protects the wood from fungi and harmful insects. The treatment also reduces the natural movement of the wood, which is particularly beneficial indoors.

Thermo Fraké Nature:
Properties and advantages

Tough hardwood with high stability

Thermal heating heats the wood to 200 degrees using steam. No chemicals are used and the cell structure of the wood is made sustainably more stable.

This means that not only is the treatment environmentally friendly, but the wood itself also becomes more durable and therefore more sustainable. The low maintenance and care work, as well as the resistance to pests, also make it attractive for architects and construction companies.

Both traditional and innovative

Fraké wood has similar pinstripes and resin markings to oak wood, which gives it a characteristic appearance. In addition to the nostalgic and chic look, it is also robust due to the heating process.

Thermo Fraké Nature is also ideal as thermal insulation and is often used for wall and facade cladding due to its reduced weight.

Carbonised woods

Charred black, three-dimensional look, strong character structure

Using our traditional, vertical deep-charring process, our woods are carbonised with pure flame according to the Japanese Yakisugi method, resulting in extremely resistant, durable wood products with a unique, black charred surface structure which, thanks to its exclusive character, is also compared to alligator skin, silk wood or leather.

Refined woods

Traditionally carbonised, brushed and carefully finished by hand.

If you opt for the refined style, the already carbonised wood is then carefully brushed by hand and refined using a special process so that the grain and structure are revealed under the layer of carbon. Depending on the processing and type of wood, our wood finishing creates an exclusive colour look: from elegant silver-grey to an ingenious reclaimed wood look in rustic brown tones.
