The Pinzgau region is all about wood – and new trends. This also applies to the Intersport branch in Neukirchen: The facade was clad with carbonised larch wood from Ennobled. Building owner Michael Harms developed the building together with architects Feuersinger, which attracts everyone’s attention thanks to its black charred facade.

The unique facade aroused great interest among onlookers – which is how the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences became aware of the construction project. Students, professors and industry experts in the fields of timber technology, timber construction and the timber industry have been researching the properties and benefits of Ennobled’s carbonised wood ever since.
